On a sunny afternoon the witness stopped on a hilltop and watched a jet-black, wide-shouldered shape with its head sunk into its shoulders on a distant hillside for about thirty seconds. After briefly walking to check whether the road ahead was washed out, the witness returned to the same spot and the shape was gone. While videoing the empty hillside by the truck, the witness heard a sharp impact from behind that sounded like a thrown rock, but found only pine cones under a tree.
