Unidentified sound near Sandpoint, Idaho
Account
The guest camped alone with his dog at river sites near Sandpoint and at an overgrown site across the road. At dusk he heard a mechanical life-beacon-like beeping that seemed to move and track him, then later heard a loud hoot-holler scream that trailed into a growl very close to his camper. The same area had six to eight bent trees with one snapped at twelve feet, prior wood knocks, something outside the camper, and a morning glimpse of a large shoulder first assumed to be a moose.
