While filming he heard heavy wood-on-wood strikes from the left answered from the right at varying intervals, which he verified was not an echo. Feeling anxious, he returned to his idling vehicle and left, and a relative later reviewed the tape where the beats were faintly audible and recorded an interview with the witness that evening.
