In July 2023 while [name withheld] was away getting gas, [name withheld] and two brothers followed knocking sounds to a huge old-growth tree. [name withheld] made tongue clicks that got matching double and triple knocks back, while the brothers whistling got single responses, with juvenile and 15-inch tracks nearby. They left after a final knock, concluding no tree-expansion or animal explanation fit, and he kept bodycam audio and footprint photos.
