Two people camping by a spring on a logging trail were awakened around 2 a.m. by loud high-pitched screaming surrounding their tent. After turning on vehicle headlights they saw three large creatures standing in front of them while hearing more screams from behind and smelling a foul stench. After about ten minutes the three backed up the hill out of sight while still screaming, and the campers stayed in place until daylight before leaving.
