Elk hunters find two sets of bare-foot tracks in the snow near Palmer Junction
Account
While elk hunting, the witness and companions walked along a logging road in late afternoon to meet another party member and found very large tracks in hard snow. The tracks wandered on and off the road, occurred in two sizes, and had not been present that morning. The tracks crushed 2-3 inches of hardened snow down to gravel where the men's own steps left no imprint.
