Unidentified sound near Orleans, California (1999)
Account
The witness camped alone about a mile from base camp during call-blasting work. On three successive nights he heard twig snaps near a canyon. On the third night something heavy pressed down a stout limb behind his tent and then made a very loud vocalization beside the tent, and he sat up all night with protection.
