Wood knock in Oregon (2010)
Account
After hiking into Linton Meadows, the couple camped at the meadow edge and watched deer flee uphill. After dark they heard prolonged loud wood-splitting-like cracks approaching, then large rocks landing closer until five feet from the tent. They then heard several things chattering in low indistinct speech outside the tent before quiet.
