Account
On the second night of a remote water-access group camp in drizzling rain, the witness heard a loud hound- or owl-like hoo-hoo call far across the water. The calls repeated closer at intervals until directly across from camp, then a single sharp whistle sounded behind camp on the same side. No other campers woke or heard it.
