About three weeks after moving in, the witness woke around 3 a.m. with dread, shone a spotlight from the back door, and saw a bear-like figure that stood up and absorbed the light. It screamed for 20-25 seconds without breathing, freezing her, then she shone it again and saw mahogany hair, broad shoulders, and a side view drinking from the creek. The next morning she and her husband found 18-inch tracks and estimated eight feet height from a background tree.
