Wood knock in New York
Account
During a week alone at a house north of the Finger Lakes, the witness heard heavy wooden knocks several times daily and found a rabbit trap ripped from its anchor. Near a creek embankment the witness saw a distant black mass with a limb over a branch, found nearby prints and flattened grass, but concluded the height estimate was affected by an optical illusion and could not rule out a bear.
