Eyeshine near Muscadine, Alabama
Account
The witness let dogs into the fenced backyard around 4 a.m. and noticed huge red-orange eyeshine from a low drainage about 150 feet away. When he shined a weak flashlight, two widely spaced glowing eyes looked back, turned away, moved quickly uphill, and stopped twice to look back before disappearing into woods toward Talladega National Forest. A next-day search found no tracks in hard clay, and dogs had acted agitated on prior nights.
