Hunters, tracking injured deer, hear loud vocalizations
Account
The witness had shot a deer with an arrow in the evening and returned after dark with a relative and a companion to track it. While following faint sounds believed to be the wounded deer, the witness heard woofing-growling that suddenly became very loud low-to-high screams and whoops from an unseen source. The vocalizations continued for about five minutes and seemed to circle the group as they fled the drainage, getting out around 5 a.m.
