Shining a weak flashlight they saw huge solid red eyes and a very large head silhouette in deep water close by. The head tilted, then moved downstream faster than the current while watching them, stopped in front of the campfire, then submerged with large bubbles and vanished. The companion stayed up all night afraid and they left early.
