Vocalization near Lake Cushman, Washington (2000)
Account
The witness and two friends hiked off trail in the Olympic mountains toward a ranger station, hearing a loud four-part grunt every twenty minutes that grew louder as they climbed. Near the top among huge boulders and a creek they heard the grunt erupt very loudly from just behind the rocks, feeling it was right on top of them. They turned back immediately and camped on a steep slope before hiking out, only later wondering if it could have been a Sasquatch.
