While searching for lost hunter, large tracks found in the snow
Account
The witness joined two companions to search in the snow after dark for a hiker who had been left behind. While following the hiker's tracks, they found larger unfamiliar tracks crossing a logging road in two steps into a gully and up a hill, with smaller identical tracks alongside. The witness, a longtime logger, expressed certainty about what made the tracks and offered to show the spot.
