Growl in Georgia
Account
The witness camped at a site chosen for high ground on both sides and nearby water, after hiking the creek with his dog and finding nothing. At dusk the dog sniffed the air, then barked and oriented in front of the camp, and later oriented to the side where a bush about ninety feet away shook. The witness heard a growl above the dog's growling that he did not recognize as bear or big cat, chambered a round which silenced everything, and retreated to his trailer.
