Wood knock (2004)
Account
After the initial incident the witness visited the same trail system regularly for years. From a spot near the switchback she tapped rocks and received answering knocks that approached from far away to within tens of yards. She also describes small rocks tossed down from the bluff toward her, which she interprets as non-threatening juvenile behavior, and once demonstrated the exchange for four visiting researchers.
