Animal behaviour (1860)
Account
During a military campaign when people sheltered on Spider Rock and food and water were destroyed, a small girl was lowered daily to run across the valley and gather juniper berries on cliffs. She returned faster with full hand-woven baskets and said her hairy grandpa helped her, making baskets and preparing berries so she could return quickly and avoid harm.
