Group found a possible BF kill, while out for an evening investigation.
Account
The witness and two companions drove to a remote dead-end spot at night and found a fresh gutted carcass they thought was an elk with its head and legs torn off. After the witness made imitation calls, they heard distant scream-howl replies after several calls and heard two tree knocks, followed by coyote howls. The witness concluded the replies were not coyote, elk, or owl based on familiarity with those sounds.
