Fishermen hear rocks banging together and smell foul odor
Account
The witnesses were preparing fishing gear when they noticed a strong foul smell and heard repeated banging like sticks or rocks struck together. They walked toward the sounds, which grew stronger, and shouted to scare off whatever was making them. The banging then stopped, no departure was heard, and the odor faded completely after about five minutes.
