Campers in cabin hear 2 hours of shrieking
Account
The witness and two companions were inside a cabin at a mine late at night when they heard very loud howling and shrieking from across a canyon about 200 yards away. They listened in silence for about two hours and also heard distant movement in brush. After a companion fired three shotgun rounds into the air, the sounds paused briefly after each shot then resumed.
