Hunting/fishing partner related to a friend he saw something over 6' stand on it's hind legs and quickly walk 40 to 50 yards near Hells Canyon
Account
A man hauling firewood in Hells Canyon noticed what he first thought was a bear near a cattle salt box and drove closer in his pickup intending to shoot it. From about 400 yards away he watched it stand on its hind legs and walk quickly about 40 to 50 yards into a steep creek bottom. He described it as over six feet tall and uniformly dark brown or black, and noted no other vehicles or roads were in the area. He did not stop to look for footprints and drove past with an uneasy feeling.
