The witness was riding in a car through the mountains when the group stopped at the roadside. The witness noticed bare footprint-like impressions in soft sand that crossed the road into the woods. The witness and two companions got out to examine the prints for a few minutes, noting human-like size with five toes and deeper impressions than their own, then left.
