The witness and a companion were hiking to a hot springs in late November 1994. The witness noticed large barefoot tracks in the snow along the packed trail. The tracks ran mostly straight with a long stride, showing a clear large toe, faint smaller toes, and no claw marks, suggesting a single individual. She did not discuss the tracks with her companion at the time.
