Footsteps near Chattanooga, Tennessee (1986)
Account
Shortly after his September 1986 marriage, the witness took his wife tent-camping at Harrison Bay on a Monday night in October. After frogs went silent they heard slow bipedal footsteps that circled from woods to shallow water, splashing with a long stride despite warnings and claims of a gun, then circled their truck camper for hours. At daylight they found no prints on hard clay but saw a thirty-foot line of holes in the mud under clear shallow water where it had waded.
