Footsteps in California (1999)
Account
During a summer expedition in northern California, the witness camped alone about a mile from base camp. On three successive nights he heard twig snaps near his tent around 1 a.m. On the third night something heavy pressed down on a solid limb behind his head and then made an extremely loud aggressive vocalization beside the tent. He sat up all night with protection and later concluded it was not a bear but a Sasquatch-like creature.
