The guest had received several reports from the same area and hiked a trail there for a third day with a first-time companion. He smelled a strong odor, growled into the woods and heard it mimicked, then saw a small head in the trees before a whistle sounded and it vanished. He later photographed the spot, found two sizes of footprints, and used a laser to estimate height, with an enhanced photo later said to show a second face.
