Account
At late dusk while camped at a lake shore over Labor Day weekend, the witness reports hearing a single very loud whoop lasting 8 to 11 seconds from about a half-mile uphill. The witness also notes open-range cows stayed unusually close to shore and camp instead of wandering. The witness speculates something may have moved the cows down out of the timber.
