While staying at a remote mining camp cabin and fly fishing a creek with his dog, the witness heard a crash on the ridge and watched a tall black upright figure move down toward him, slamming into and shaking large trees and ripping off branches. His normally bold hunting dog approached to about fifty yards, then fled past him back to the cabin. The witness also retreated, later returned with a shotgun but felt stopped at the chest, and then packed up and left the area.
