Man and his son hear loud vocalizations while camping near Greyback Shelter
Account
The witness and his son were on a multi-day hiking and cabin stay in a wilderness meadow area. On the final morning the witness stood alone in the meadow when he heard repeated yipping-howls ending in a low guttural grunt from upslope. Worried about his son back at the cabin, he hurried back and found his son had also heard the sounds and was frightened. They quickly packed and hiked out while repeatedly checking behind them.
