The guest's grandmother was walking the guest's father as a child to school before daylight along a dirt road bordered by a tall solid wood fence in the Big Thicket. Something large and heavy paced them on the other side of the fence, stopping when they stopped and moving when they moved. They turned back halfway and abandoned school that day to avoid meeting it where the fence ended.
