In September 2003 the witness and a hunting partner were coon hunting at night in a cornfield in Ohio with two hounds. The dogs went silent and their radio trackers gave no signal, then something large circled the men in the corn with audible running and heavy breathing. A large amount of foul-smelling clear slime splattered onto the partner, and the men retreated to the truck to find both dogs cowering underneath, unwilling to load.

The witness was sitting on the patio talking when she glanced toward the woods behind the home. A tall black two-legged creature took two large steps past a shelter and barn and disappeared. It did not turn, make noise, or appear to notice her.

The witness pulled off the road at night for a bathroom break while driving home with family. After hearing noise in the woods, he saw a face only a few feet away in the car lights and then fled in the car. His daughter, watching from the front seat, also reportedly saw the face.

Late at night, the witness saw a large black-haired bipedal creature on elevated railroad tracks behind the house. The creature walked along the tracks, then sprinted and jumped down into brush on the far side. While driving south on Route 77 near Salt Fork Lake State Park in the early morning, the witness saw a huddled shape against the guardrail and first thought it was a bear that had been hit. After backing up, the witness watched from about 15 to 20 feet away as the shape stood on two legs, stepped over the guardrail, and walked into the woods. The observation lasted about 15 to 20 seconds in moonlight and was followed by a strong skunk-like odor; the witness stayed in the car out of fear.

Late at night the witness stepped outside to retrieve a dog and noticed an extremely strong body-odor smell. The witness then saw a long reddish-haired creature squatting motionless near the corner of the house without looking toward them. The witness ran inside to get family members, but by the time they came outside the creature was gone although the strong odor still filled the yard.

They observed it for several minutes as it continued away along the creek without struggling in the snow, then repositioned to where it was headed and waited until dark without seeing it again. The witness was horseback riding on a pine-forest trail with her mother when her horse tensed and bolted. She turned and saw a tall, dark, upright figure behind a log that then ran toward a field. Both horses galloped uncontrolled back toward camp, leaving the riders shaken. She estimated the figure at 7-8 feet and said its proportions did not look human.

The witness and her boyfriend were driving slowly on a gravel road toward a cabin cookout. She caught movement in the passenger mirror, turned to look out the back, and both saw a tall black-furred biped take two long strides from one roadside into brush and vanish. They drove on in shock without speaking and later told family, but a medical emergency overshadowed the report.

A couple hiking on state game land around a swamp stopped in the woods to listen and heard repeated series of loud, deep knocks from multiple directions and distances. They perceived the sounds as communication and felt uncomfortable enough to leave the area quickly. On the way back to the car they heard additional knocks from across the swamp and continued out without investigating the source.

The witness and companions were hunting and camping by a gravel pit near a pond. In the late evening they noticed a strong odor from across the water and two of them crossed a dike to investigate. They heard growls and vegetation shook violently, so they retreated. Through the night they heard moaning and howls and had rocks and limbs thrown toward them from across the pond, finding no tracks the next morning.

The witness and a companion were driving home in the evening when they saw a large dark figure run across the highway ahead of them. Both occupants observed it, but the driver could not relocate it after slowing down. The figure was described as very tall and robust with long arms and a non-human gait resembling the Patterson film footage.

The witness and a companion were sitting on their deck in a rural wooded area after midnight when they heard a very loud, deep howling lasting two to three minutes. They later played an online recording of reported howling that they felt sounded exactly the same. About fifteen minutes after the sound, they went outside and noticed a very foul odor described as skunk mixed with urine.
