The witness was driving home on a two-lane highway in north-central Arkansas after sunset when a fast, reddish-haired ape-like animal carrying a raccoon in its mouth ran into the road. He struck it squarely with his car at highway speed, feeling a violent impact that was heard by his girlfriend on the phone. After stopping he found no damage to the car and no airbag deployment, but extensive blood on the passenger side, yet no body, blood, hair, or raccoon at the impact site. He also describes a brief dull flash at impact and time seeming to slow.

The witness camped with family and two dogs on the Buffalo River. A normally bold protective dog nudged the witness, pushed the child's chair over, and stared up the access road. The family got into a vehicle where the dog stared out a cracked door all night, with no sounds or further activity.

Dogs that normally chase sounds fled back to the house during these events.

He heard something walk across the porches, went outside with a gun and spotlight, saw nothing but smelled strong fresh fish. The sound returned when a crank radio was turned on and off, leading the brother to believe a Bigfoot had visited the porch.

Early in a daytime float the witness saw motion on a bluff and first thought two hikers were heading to a cave. She realized both figures appeared entirely brown, with the larger ushering the smaller into the cave and turning its whole upper body to look toward the river. A couple set up a tent late at night in a small Arkansas river campground and noticed broken trees, a single large glowing eye by the river, then two large eyes watching from uphill. After going to sleep they were awakened by bipedal footsteps, owl-like calls turning to chatter, pebbles hitting the tent, touches to the tent and truck, and movement around camp. The man blew an air horn, they fled in their truck, later returned in daylight to find large footprints and discovered his phone had recorded sounds through the night.

He heard footsteps and breaking limbs approach, then breathing and grunting directly below and around the tree but saw nothing. He stayed in the stand overnight in fear and ran to his truck at first light, quitting hunting there.

Two brothers were driving to deer hunt around 4 a.m. when a huge completely black biped crossed the road at the end of a bridge in two to three steps. The driver braked and screamed, then turned around and left. Days later they returned and judged it had been as tall as 9 to 10 foot bridge warning signs.
