A man who had been drinking pulled over to sleep in the back seat with the car running. He woke to something pulling the door handle and saw a large dog-like head with black fur and an elongated snout breathing on the window. He scrambled to the driver's seat and drove home, later finding saliva on the window.

Early one Saturday morning the witness drove with his dog to a remote wooded dirt-road area and stopped to let the dog out. Looking down an intersecting road he saw a large black wolf-like animal that then stood on its hind legs and took a couple balanced steps. Frightened, he grabbed the dog and drove away, watching the creature drop to all fours and run angrily across the road.

The witness was tent camping on family property and stepped a few steps from camp around midnight to relieve himself. He heard three loud whacking sounds like leather striking a pine, then several seconds of steps, then three strikes again from an estimated thirty to forty yards away. He stood briefly, heard nothing further, and returned to his tent.

The witness and his teenage child were camping and took a night walk up a marked nature trail near the campground. About fifty yards in they startled several unseen animals to the right of the trail that moved away then stopped. The sounds then moved back toward them and spread to both sides as they backed toward the entrance, though nothing was ever seen.

The homeowner told the guest the phenomena had been present for years at the adjoining family homes. His mother repeatedly called him when she heard talking sounds she could not understand coming from around her garbage. He said he bought a spotlight and at times saw figures running away. Looking up, the witness gradually realized a pale face with recessed eyes was looking down through the high window.
