Man recalls encounter with 7 foot tall creature on grandparents farm
When the witness was about 10, he was walking back toward the farmhouse on his grandfather's farm late on a winter afternoon. About 80 yards away he saw a tall, hair-covered ape-like figure standing still and staring at him with yellow eyes. Terrified, he ran about a quarter-mile to the house without telling his grandfather at the time. He later came to believe the creature was a real Bigfoot and linked it to livestock deaths found near the swamp.

The witness and a companion were leaving a lake after fishing when they heard dogs barking and deep grunting near a swampy area. A very tall hairy biped emerged from reeds and ran upright across an open field while dogs chased it. After getting tangled and shouting, the witness saw the animal look toward them while running to the tree line, then both youths left for home.

On opening day of deer season in 1978 or 1979, the witness waited in a tree stand in darkness and dense fog near a lake. A loud screaming sound approached from uphill, passed beneath the stand with audible brush and leaf movement, and continued on. The witness could not see the source due to fog and darkness. A hunting companion in a different location also heard the sounds that morning.

The witness reports repeated encounters over years on a rural property bordering woods and swamp, including sightings, vocalizations, odors, and footprints. The witness believes a family of creatures lives nearby, currently including a mother with young, and describes them as shy and non-threatening. The witness withholds the location and seeks help to protect the animals from harm.

The witness and a companion were camping in a tent on the witness's driveway in mid-October. Around 2 a.m. under a full moon, the witness awoke to grunting and snapping trees and saw a large hair-covered figure striking and eating a deer, then dragging it uphill. The figure approached the tent, giving off a strong musky odor and knocking a frying pan from a tree before leaving. In the morning the witness found deer remains, drag marks, and a shelter-like structure of bent and broken pines.

Three green basketball-sized translucent orbs floated from the forest to the backyard gate and up to the window, bobbing while he felt unable to look away. A hunting companion went to check a camper near the creek before a deer hunt and found footprints going all the way around it and back out the way they came. The guest was not present and relates the find secondhand.

About a month after the sighting the hunters were standing between two ponds listening to the dogs when rocks began pelting toward them and hitting in the pond. They interpreted it as something not wanting them in that area.

The witness's uncle, living by the same spot near a lake, told him that shortly after moving in he heard a loud ruckus behind the house in the middle of the night. It sounded like many monkeys yelling, fighting and screaming, unlike birds or owls. He was frightened and did not go outside.
