Two people were fishing at a river at night when wildlife sounds suddenly stopped. One of them went to the top of the bank with a rifle and spotlight and observed red eyes estimated to be 7 to 8 feet high near the fence. Shots were fired toward the eyes, impacts were heard, and the eyes closed with nothing further seen. The pair left quickly, had to move crowded livestock to exit, and never returned.

Six people arriving by car at a new house at the edge of a subdivision saw a tall hair-covered man-like figure digging in a trash can at the end of the driveway. Under the headlights it looked toward them, then strode and loped away bipedally with a very long stride without dropping to all fours. After a companion retrieved a gun the figure was gone, and a neighbor's normally aggressive barking dog was found silent, frightened and hiding under a deck.

The witness watched it disappear into fog and darkness, then after calming down drove home, ran inside, and locked up. The witness described the encounter as terrifying and reported sleeplessness for weeks afterward.

The witness was washing dishes in a rented farmhouse in the early morning and looked out the back window. She saw a very large, tan, long-haired creature hurrying across a fenced field toward a tree line, observing its face, arms and legs as it passed a break in the fence. They rode toward the sound without seeing anything, then put out the fire and left feeling watched and frightened.

The witness describes being in the bush on a stormy night when hair rose on his neck and a strong voice that was not his own invited him in his head to stay the night to meet them. He sensed two presences on a nearby hill, a prime adult male and a smaller young one, answered mentally that he was not ready, and felt the presence leave. While home alone recovering from a badly rolled ankle, the witness lay on his stomach on the living room couch and became paralyzed yet mentally awake. He felt intensely cold hands forcefully hold his legs and cut under his toes, while hearing movements on the wood floor. Upon fully waking and checking the house, he found no one there but later saw large missing chunks of skin under his toes.
