In the early afternoon the witness was gigging for frogs from a relative's boathouse pier when a tall, dark, hairy biped emerged from a swamp about 175-250 yards away and waded knee-deep into the water. The creature looked both ways, bent over twice to swing an arm into the water with a splash as if fishing, then stared toward the witness before walking back into the swamp like a person. A few minutes later it reappeared at the same spot and repeated the same actions before leaving again and not returning during another hour the witness remained.

The witness was driving a VW bus around a tight curve at night when the headlights illuminated a white-haired creature loping uphill on all fours toward the road. The witness and a companion were walking down an old pulpwood road with a dog when they noticed a strong goat-like odor and heard rustling and a tree shaking. The witness pulled back branches and saw a tall, hair-covered biped running away downhill on two legs. The companion did not see the creature. The witness lost sight of it in pines and underbrush near a swampy area.

A teenager walking back from a pond across a field saw a very dark tall figure walking along a path about 50 yards away. The figure was visible from the torso up above tall sagebrush, estimated at about 8 feet tall, and walked with its head slightly bent forward before going into the woods. Under the car headlights they saw a massive black-furred creature leaning on a road sign, with about ten feet of its chest-down visible but no head in view. Terrified, they sped up and continued driving; about a mile later a tire blew out, and they drove several miles to a house to call for help.

Shortly after the witness heard movement in a pine thicket and saw a tall hairy biped emerge, run down the fenceline, cross the fence while chasing the deer, and disappear downhill in under a minute without acknowledging the witness. A follow-up interview added size and appearance details and noted missing pets and livestock near the home.

Both heard screaming near the corral gate, the wife ran inside frightened and horses fled, and the witness glimpsed a very tall dark furry figure moving through a lit patch while it screamed and made clicking growling noises before he went back inside and locked doors.

Following blood and a strong gut-like stench that grew stronger, the witness found the deer on its side with the body undulating and something large behind it. After a loud heavy exhalation, the witness yielded the deer and left.

Walking in with lights to a shooting hut after being dropped off, the witness went too far toward the plot and heard a piercing scream likened to a woman in a slasher film. Looking up, the witness saw two eyes on a rear road as coyotes erupted, then retreated to lock inside the hut and later told the father nothing was seen.

As an adult accompanying an ailing father hunting, the witness sat on the floor of a shooting hut while the father sat in a chair. A loud howl likened to a known recorded howl sounded, shaking the witness and bringing tears and memories of childhood rock-throwing. No creature was seen.
