The guest then saw a large creature between two trees at close range that locked eyes and grimaced showing large teeth. In the spotlight two upright creatures were seen on the beach, one larger in the grass and one smaller below, which crouched and covered their faces. Rifles were aimed but not fired, and the figures later left into the bush, with further eye-shine, scenting sounds, and a tree bent as one departed.

They then heard fast, childlike chattering from off the trail that continued as they walked. On the return trip they heard the chattering again from farther away.

The witness was sleeping in a camper parked by the woods on a relative's property when loud breathing and screaming circled the camper for many minutes. The witness's father stepped outside with a flashlight and the sound seemed to come from the woods and echo for miles. Next morning they found a nearby tree branch freshly stripped of bark.

Another friend told the guest he was driving on a dark dirt road by a water plant when a tall black hairy creature stomped through grass toward the car. The driver sped up to avoid it and it was gone from the rear view.

The witness fetched binoculars but could not center it, and it appeared to shift position when looked at directly while drifting slowly. The witness realized he had walked far from the house toward it and was called back.
