After dinner the two children left camp to search for the father and reached a forest road clearing with birch trees. They returned after dark and the father dismissed their account.

As he continued turning it lowered out of view without fleeing. He discovered it only later reviewing the footage.

While walking down a pipeline trail to deer hunt at dawn the guest felt watched, turned, and saw a dark-haired face rising from tall grass about 25 yards away. They stared at each other without blinking for about a minute. When he started to speak it abruptly leapt across the trail and vanished.

Over an extended period the guest reports repeated visits to his home including single footprints, a hand and shoulder impression by a robbed robin nest, slaps on siding, and dog food mysteriously lowered and leveled in a sealed tub. Voice-activated recordings captured lid sounds, crunching, and his dogs greeting visitors friendly at night. He concluded a group of four was visiting, later leaving stick and rock arrangements.

Video later showed he had focused on a face leaning around a tree that appeared to sneer then close its mouth.
