Two friends sat in a parked car at night on a power-line trail waiting for others. The witness saw a large silhouette block the moonlit trail beside a low-hanging limb, then take a couple steps across. Only two thick legs were visible, estimated seven feet tall with a very deep chest, and it struck the limb with an audible crack. Both occupants fled in the car and met their friends coming up.

He crouched and pretended to eat vegetation to avoid provoking her while they observed each other for several minutes. A taller darker male then emerged, bared his teeth and displayed aggressively, and the female positioned herself between the male and the boy. Both creatures then left into the brush, and the boy ran home and told his grandmother, who said she believed him.

When he switched on white light at about 15 feet the eyes rose to about seven feet with a bark-like grunt, then vanished. From the stand he watched one taller and one smaller eyeshine peek from behind a tree until a neighbor's vehicle lights approached, when they crashed away loudly through the woods.
