The witness was hunting hogs from a stand when he smelled a strong musky odor and climbed a ridge to investigate. Objects including a heavy rock were thrown toward him, with one landing at his feet. He then observed a very large dark fur-covered human-like figure through his rifle scope before it turned and walked away.

On the afternoon of April 17, 2004, the witness was turkey hunting from a blind in a creek bottom after using a hawk locator call. He noticed what he first thought was a burnt tree about 50 yards away, then realized it was a large, dark-haired bipedal creature watching him. The two stared at each other before the creature turned and walked away upright, and the witness reported being badly frightened and smelling a musky odor when the wind shifted.

After an uneventful overnight patrol, the witness and one companion discovered three clear footprints and a possible fourth on a steep uphill road at midday. They estimated the prints at over sixteen inches long with a stride of nearly five and a half feet uphill, photographed them with dollar bills for scale, and did not make casts or precise measurements.

An owl flew closely past them, immediately followed by an extremely loud, chest-vibrating roar from nearby cover that lasted several seconds. Frogs and insects went silent for a time, then slowly resumed, and the family left shortly afterward.

In January 2003 while bobcat hunting and driving slowly through a wooded pasture, the witness and a companion watched a muscular grey-furred animal cross the road on all fours about 30 feet ahead for 6-7 seconds. The animal stayed low and bent over, moved awkwardly with weak-looking front limbs and kicking hind legs, then vanished. Both occupants compared it to a gorilla and later agreed it could not have been a bobcat.

The sighting lasted only a few seconds, and a later visit to the site revealed many game footprints.

He watched for about six seconds a dark, chimpanzee-like primate about three to four feet tall standing erect on a branch. A later daylight check found a boulder-covered creek with no tracks.

Girls at a sleepover woke early in foggy conditions and saw something big and black fighting with something else near the schoolyard swings, assuming it was a dog. The next morning the witness's protective cat was found dead with three long scratches from neck to groin but no major tearing. The witness remains puzzled and notes other odd cat deaths in town.

After a period of silence with rustling and a loud snap, they got into their car to leave. While driving away they saw a large dark upright figure with glowing yellowish-orange eyes near the road and noticed a strong musk odor.

The witness slowed to a crawl and the figure briefly turned its head, showing yellow eyes, but continued its casual walk without changing course. The witness locked the doors and sped away while the younger sisters in the back were crying.
