While walking out the witness noticed bent trees and broken branches resembling a stick structure. A few minutes later two loud knocks and a drawn-out yip, also described as including a whoop, were heard from behind, after which the witness hurried back to the truck.

The witness was at home in bed when repeating loud whoop-like sounds woke him and seemed to approach the house, getting louder and more frequent. He woke his wife, who also heard the sound, and went to the back door with a shotgun. The source of the eyes stood upright to a great height, looked toward them, then walked into the adjoining woods. After leaving, they returned for a size comparison with a 6-foot companion walking toward the treeline while the others watched from the truck; the figure reappeared, stood up and towered over the companion before leaving into the woods again.
