While moving around a rural property at night with others, the witness saw a bobbing light approaching a barn like a headlamp runner, but no person or sound. Believing it was a neighbor, he called out while armed. The light faded out. Searching the area revealed dense sticker bushes, a valley and hill that should have made noisy movement.

While on a one-day hunting trip, the witness dropped his brother off and stopped to glass a clearcut below old-growth timber about 200 yards away. Through his scope he watched a large dark hairy person-like figure turning its head and looking around. It then grabbed a branch, gave a long woman-like scream ending in a low growl, causing two orange-clad hunters on the far side to stop and leave.

After the main sighting the witness returned to leave food, which was never taken. On later visits the witness heard dog-like barks that sounded like mimicry three times and set off nearby dogs. Once something jumped out of a tree next to the witness and moved through brush without being clearly seen.

After a newspaper story ran, a retired couple reported odd tracks in their backyard less than half a mile from where the first trackway was lost. The trail showed a 13-foot step, then several 6-foot steps, then 10-foot steps near a motion light, then sidestepping and side-by-side prints with a drag mark off a wall. The investigator measured and filmed them and could not find continuation in neighboring yards.

The same two brothers returned to the same area about a month after the November night. From a distance they heard prolonged deep roaring likened to a lion that seemed to vibrate the car. They did not see the source and left the area.
