They climbed into the treehouse and later felt something pushing the trap door up. The witness shone a spotlight and saw a bipedal dog-like thing walk away, briefly touch a tree, glance back with a grin, and drop over a knoll. No tracks were found in fresh snow the next morning.

While standing on a raised deck calling for his dog late in the fall, the witness saw a dark brown figure in profile walk about six feet from right to left between the barn and house addition. It was as tall from the ground as he was on the deck. He went back inside without retrieving the dog.
