Four people camped overnight along a trail in the New Jersey pine barrens heard an odd high-pitched scream for about ten minutes late at night. They also heard something large moving through thick brush about 20-25 yards away, pausing at intervals as it passed the campsite, but dim light prevented any visual identification. The sound eventually faded away and the group did not investigate that night or the next day.

A mother driving her son home at night watched a very large hair-covered animal cross the road in the headlights about 150 feet away. The witnesses saw it from the neck down, describing a bulky build, dark coloration, a swinging left arm, and crossing the road in about two and a half steps. The witness states she had just put her crying infant back to bed and was sitting on the side of her waterbed in a dark mobile home when she felt watched and heard a loud guttural grunt/growl. After a minute or two the individual walked away, and the witness moved the children to the car and left the campsite early, leaving some gear behind.

The witness and a companion were camping beside a slow creek at night when the witness stepped away from the fire and heard footsteps in gravel across the water. A large slender figure that had frozen in place then took two strides up the bank, glanced back, and went into the woods. The pair quickly packed their belongings into the truck and left the site that night.

The witness and family were picnicking at Deadmans Pass when a child noticed a figure across a ravine by the forest line. They watched it sit and sway for several minutes before it stood up, appeared very tall and stooped, and took a few large steps into the woods. The witness said it was clearly seen on a clear day and moved like the figure in the P/G film.

The witness camped with three companions at a primitive site near Skookum Lake below a ridge. During the night the witness alone awoke to sounds described as large rocks tumbling down the ridge and later to heavy spaced footsteps moving into and out of camp. The companions reported hearing nothing and no footprints were found the next day. Years later the witness associated the sounds with Sasquatch after reading other reports from the area.

A creature with red eyes stepped from a ditch onto the tracks about 20 feet away and stared at him for one to two minutes. The witnesses watched the tree fall from uphill but could not see the animal through the thick forest during the chase.

The witness fled down the mountain and left the area after daylight.

Three people were fishing at night at a pool on a river near a bridge when they saw a frightened coyote run past and heard splashes. A large dark figure standing waist-deep in the river about 40 yards away then threw boulders toward them, with the closest landing a few yards away and splashing water on them. The group shouted, reeled in their lines, and fled through trees and a field to their car. They returned the next day and judged the water depth and boulders inconsistent with a person.
