Man remembers his daylight sighting of a bigfoot standing on a stump next to Discovery Bay
The witness, traveling with four companions for target practice, left the truck and saw a tall upright figure standing on a stump overlooking the bay. The figure turned to look at the witness, stared, then turned away, turned again after the witness shouted, and walked quickly into dense forest. The companions did not see the figure but all later found prints, heard crashing branches, and noticed a faint unusual odor.

A couple camping at a campground in the north-central Washington Cascades heard loud, powerful calls beginning shortly before dusk and continuing through the night. The sounds were described as unfamiliar, alternating between deep guttural tones and high-pitched tones, and seeming to come from two sources that moved toward each other along a creek drainage. The witnesses spent the night in their car and left at dawn without searching the brush for tracks.
Three hikers see something cross their path
The witness left fish out near a lakeside camp and went to sleep in a tent. During the night something entered camp, disturbed the fish can, and then ran into a swamp making loud noise. After the group built a fire and returned to tents, prolonged loud screams were heard from across the lake for about 30 minutes despite shooting, yelling and banging pots.

Late after midnight the witness was riding home as a passenger while a relative drove. By moonlight and headlights they saw a huge hairy figure standing by a roadside sign, felt eye contact as they passed, then watched it cross the road behind the car and leave on the other side. Both occupants saw it, and the driver offered to turn around but the witness declined.

The witness and a companion were driving remote back roads at night scouting for deer sign in snowy conditions. They discovered very large human-like bipedal tracks in fresh snow and traced them along the roadway for close to a mile. The tracks stayed mostly on one side of the road before descending into a creek where they were lost, leading the witness to conclude they were not made by a known animal or person on foot.

During a week-long military field exercise, the witness spent the final night alone in a forward foxhole on guard duty. Around 2 a.m. he heard loud bipedal footfalls pass his position, followed by a strong putrid odor. About 45 minutes later he heard a distant loud scream. After entering the lake basin they repeatedly heard large trees falling nearby about every two minutes and felt the ground thud, with about five falls on the way in and five more while leaving. They never saw any trees fall or anything unusual. Feeling unsafe, they turned back and descended to camp, interpreting the sounds as something trying to drive them away.

Three young people were walking along a logging road after being dropped off from a truck. From about 10 yards downhill they heard vegetation rustling followed by an extremely loud, guttural, high-pitched yell that did not match any known local animal to them. Frightened, they ran about a mile back to the truck without looking back.

The witness went into brush beside a fairway to look for a lost golf ball on a sunny mid-morning. After noticing a strong rotten smell, the witness saw a tall hair-covered figure standing by a tree a short distance away. After a brief stare the witness glanced away and the figure walked quickly uphill away, and the witness ran back to the fairway without telling companions what was seen.

The witness remained alone in a tent at a Boy Scout camp while the rest of the troop was away. After hearing a troop mate shout, the witness left the tent and saw a large brown bipedal figure flash past and run up a brush-covered incline with great speed. The figure paused at the crest to look back before disappearing when the boys entered the brush.

The witness was sleeping alone in the family home when they awoke suddenly in the early morning and saw a dark head-shaped outline at the bedroom window, apparently peering inside. The figure immediately fled off the deck and ran around the house into the woods behind, moving very fast and making loud crashing noises. The witness was frightened and spent subsequent nights at a relative's house nearby.

The adult reportedly maintained eye contact, brought the child into view briefly, and kept a hand on it before the child moved back behind the tree. Despite extensive outdoor experience in Washington, neither recognized the sound and both were badly unnerved. During a multi-day school hiking trip, the witness was with the lead group returning along a beach when a large black hairy biped was seen at a stream, bent over and reaching into the water. After the group watched it move toward the ocean, someone shouted Bigfoot, at which point it stood upright, looked at the group briefly, then walked back into the forest. Teachers later told students it was a naked camper and told them to drop the subject.
