After closing the vehicle door he heard something strike a nearby building, followed by loud whooping calls that lasted a minute or two. He described the calls as closely matching reference whoop recordings he had found online.

The witness stopped his ATV on a forest trail to wait for a slower companion. Small rocks began striking the vehicle, and he saw a tall dark hair-covered figure about 70-90 feet away rise from a low position to standing. The witness was sitting alone in a deer stand in very dark, rainy conditions before dawn when a musky odor was present. He heard a whistle followed by repeated whooping from different directions, along with slow walking sounds and large branches breaking, which faded after several minutes. He stayed in the stand and noticed the odor was gone after sunrise.

Three people were inside a small cabin after scouting for bear season when they heard banging on the outside wall and later three bangs on the door. Each time they went outside they found no one there, but they noticed a strong foul odor. An apple and later a stick were thrown from over a rise behind the cabin while they were outside and loading their truck. They left believing no other people or vehicles were on the mountain.

He saw only the upper body and head for about three seconds before a bank and foliage blocked the view. His companion was asleep and saw nothing, and he was unable to stop or return to the location.

Late at night in December 2007 the witness was in her living room when she noticed a pair of large red glowing eyes looking in over the top of the lowered blinds. When he reached for his shotgun the figure slipped back between the trees and disappeared silently, and he later estimated its height at about nine feet by holding up his gun to a branch.

The witness was turning a dump truck and spreading stone on a remote camp road when he noticed an animal on a stone pile that stood on two legs and then vanished. After adjusting his chains and driving forward, he saw two upright, hairy animals pacing the truck in his mirror, with the larger one estimated at eight to nine feet tall. As they prepared to move, an entity crossed the road from the hill edge to the embankment top, with only its large hairy legs visible in dim headlights. They left quickly and had not returned.

After an overnight snowfall, the witness noticed large tracks in the snow beside the house from a window, then later found they continued across the front yard into the woods. The trackway was described as bipedal with a long stride of about five feet and no sign of pausing. The witness photographed the tracks alongside the house and their own boot prints for scale, but the film was undeveloped at the time of the report.

Two brothers were sitting by a campfire in front of their hunting cabin at night when they heard loud screaming and branches breaking about 25-30 yards away in thick woods. After lasting from about 30 seconds to several minutes they retreated to the cabin and their father came outside and also heard the sounds. The source stayed in the woods just outside the cabin floodlights, and deep grunting or breathing was heard after the thrashing stopped.
