The witness and the witness's brother were canoeing past a sloping shoreline when they noticed what they thought was a black bear drinking. It walked a few steps on all fours, then stood up like a man and walked into the woods without acknowledging them. They dismissed it at the time as a bear sighting and later discussed how human-like and upright it looked.

Two tractor-trailer drivers claim they saw a bulky brown-haired creature while driving westbound over a bridge in the afternoon. The creature was on dry rocky ground beside shallow water below the bridge, described as walking like a person. The witnesses described long groomed hair over the whole body, unusually long arms, and massive feet and ankles during the brief high-speed pass.

Two people were sitting together on a picnic bench near a beach and forest edge after midnight when the bush went quiet and they felt watched. They then saw a very large bipedal creature about 40 feet away in a grassy area, felt intense fear, and left immediately. The feeling of being watched or chased continued until they were about two miles toward the community.

The witness reports that co-workers found a single very large footprint in dry mud while working on a remote forest fire. The co-workers photographed the print with a tape measure for scale. The witness does not state that they personally saw the track.

The witness and one companion stood outside a rural house late at night and listened to distant, loud, high-pitched screams or mournful moans for about half an hour. The sounds faded in and out, at times requiring straining to hear, before growing fainter and stopping. Neither person recognized the sound as any known animal or human, and later comparisons by the witness pointed only to purported Sasquatch recordings.

The witness and a relative were fishing by trolling from a small boat in a bay with thick forest around it. From about 40 metres away on the shore they saw a brown humanoid scoop water into its mouth with its hand. The creature looked at them and then walked away.

The witness was a passenger in a truck traveling on the Trans-Canada Highway at night en route to a moose-hunting trip. A tall, dark-haired biped came out of the north ditch and ran across the two-lane road in front of the vehicle, turning to look at the occupants before continuing into the ditch and treeline on the south side. The driver reacted with surprise at the time but has since said he saw nothing. The whole crossing reportedly took about 10 seconds.
Morning encounter with a moose hunter in northern Ontario
While hunting moose by ATV the witness stopped on a trail for a snack while a companion rode ahead to scout. After hearing brush movement and heavy footsteps, the witness saw a tall, muscular, dark-haired biped step onto the trail, look toward the companion's direction and then at the witness, sniff and grunt, then walk silently across a meadow into thick brush. After the companion returned they found only indistinct marks and disturbed vegetation, then heard a single loud crack like wood being struck and fled the area.

The witness rode as a passenger in a car with four companions on a dark two-lane highway and encountered an animal standing on the road. The driver stopped within a few feet and the occupants watched it move quadrupedally to the road edge, sit, and hesitate as if to flee. They then drove slowly past it within a couple feet, after which it was gone when looked for behind them.

After a severe blizzard that buried the barn and stranded the household for a week, the witness checked the lower barn door. The bottom was snowed shut but the top was open, with large widely spaced depressions leading through waist-deep snow toward the forest, interpreted as the occupant leaving. No animal was seen.

While walking on a forested rural road at night after a family argument, the witness was approached by a growling farm dog. Loud booms and cracking from the woods stopped the dog, then a tall figure with glowing eyes roared. The dog whimpered and fled, the figure vanished, and the witness ran home.

The mass lifted a huge gorilla-like head and grunted, so she apologized and left. Near the lake opening they heard a loud hollow yell or scream from the far end and felt watched, moving into a nearby bay out of sight. In the bay they encountered a heavy overpowering unfamiliar odor and then left without fishing, paddling quickly back to their vehicle. They did not discuss it until after driving away, and the witness told no one else for almost 10 years.

In late afternoon in September 1986 the witness was rabbit hunting and walking home on a regular trail when a strong foul odor was noticed. From about 12 yards away the witness watched for about 10 minutes as a large hair-covered creature sat cross-legged in a blueberry patch eating berries with its hands. As darkness approached the witness revealed himself, and the creature stood without using its hands and calmly walked away into the brush.
Fishing Guide has sighting while trolling Deer Lake
In early July 1986 in the evening, a fishing guide motoring clients by boat toward a narrow rocky passage on Deer Lake saw a tall black-furred biped run and leap across the narrows into forest. The clients did not see it but heard branches breaking as it moved away, and the guide shut off the engine to listen until the sound faded. The guide later reasoned the size, bipedal run, swinging arms and lack of snout did not match a local black bear. A next-morning search found no footprints on the rocky shore.

In 1984, the witness and a relative were driving slowly on a dirt road west of Ottawa at night to find a spot to set up a telescope. After the relative reported feeling uneasy and shouted, the witness saw a tall, dark, hairy primate-like figure approaching the vehicle. The witness panicked and reversed away at high speed for about a mile.
