The witness was called outside by a relative who had heard a strange sound in the forest. Both then heard loud, resonant, high-pitched vocalizations from the woods, later seeming to come from two different directions as if answering each other. Dogs nearby barked toward the forest while the sounds occurred. After several exchanges over a few minutes the sounds stopped and did not recur.
While scouting a timbered hill at 7000', hikers see a bipedal animal stand up & walk away
Two people scouting a cliffband saw a dark form by a lone tree on a flat buttress about 300-400 yards away. The form swayed, then stood up and walked with fluid motion into the timber in a few strides. Later at their truck about three-quarters of a mile away, their dog growled toward the woods and they left quickly.
Two separate sets of large footprints found
The witness reports finding footprints attributed to two large creatures around a rented ranch house in frozen winter conditions. The prints were backtracked to a gulch where they overlapped earlier hiking tracks, with one set circling buildings and a smaller set staying near outbuildings. The prints broke through hard-frozen snow and ice, taken as indicating great weight, but the creatures themselves were not seen.

The guest only saw the rear of a large muscular creature disappear into brush, which the father identified as a Sasquatch that dropped to all fours.

About 50 yards away they saw a creature sitting on an old tree stump just inside the woods watching them. Horse-riding witnesses see hairy bipedal animal cross trail on Blackfeet Reservation
The witness and cousins were riding horses home through a brushy trail in the evening when their horses became agitated. A very tall, very hairy bipedal figure ran beside them, crossed the trail about 40 feet ahead, paused at the brush edge to stare, then disappeared into trees. The group returned the next day and found high broken branches and footprints.

The witness and a companion were driving on the interstate at night when headlights lit up a white erect figure over six feet tall on a nearby mountainside. The figure appeared to be watching highway traffic and was visible for only a few seconds in the dark. Both occupants noticed it and verbally confirmed to each other that they had seen it.

On a winter night around 11:30 p.m., the witness was traveling home from work near Sidney, Montana when a tall light-haired biped crossed the highway ahead at the end of a coulee guardrail section and continued north without looking toward the witness. The figure was described as well over six feet tall with hair that was darker at the skin than at the tips. The witness was traveling alone, was frightened by the encounter, and did not return the next day to look for tracks in the snow.

On opening morning of deer season two cousins riding in the back of a pickup scanning a sage meadow spotted a large dark figure about 250 yards away. They watched it for about 10 seconds as it faced them, slightly bent forward with an arm on its knee, appearing motionless. When the truck stopped and backed up to regain the view the figure was gone. The cousins continued hunting that morning while feeling as if watched.

Five campers at a basecamp on Mt. Snowy late at night heard a long loud vocalization coming from a ridge behind camp. The sound began like a low growl and rose to a high howling scream, repeating several times over an extended period while seeming to move farther away. The men, experienced in the woods, said it did not match known animals, and a search the next morning found no sign.

As a child attending a Scout Jamboree, the witness says a friend led him to a river where they watched a roughly 6-foot-tall gorilla-like animal across the water. The witness was fly-fishing at night along the river below Hauser Dam and walked back to his lamp on a boulder to retie a fly. He shone the lamp on movement about 10 feet away and watched a large hairy biped move rapidly up the steep rocky bank and disappear within seconds. Afterward he noticed two of his four pooled trout were missing and heard a boulder crash downstream, then left with the remaining fish.

When the witness was about 10 or 11, they were riding a horse through a meadow bordering wilderness near Missoula in summer. The horse stopped and the witness saw a tall figure peeking from behind a tree about 10 feet away. The figure stood silently watching, and the witness turned the horse around and rode home.

A group hiked to remote mountain lakes and fished. The witness heard branches breaking and a very loud wood-on-wood knock, then smelled a strong foul stench. Pine cones landed sideways next to the witness and large tracks were seen in smashed grass, with a sense of being watched and shadowed until leaving the plateau. No creature was seen.

Men recovered him badly beaten with broken bones; he later died. The men reportedly shot and buried the hairy man and kept silent from guilt.
